I successfully defended my dissertation (and am officially a Dr.)! I owe so much of this to so many people, but I must give special mentions to: Ani, my amazing advisor, who stuck with me through thick and thin and who gave unwavering support to my research; my labmates, without whom this would not have been remotely possible; and most of all to my parents, who more than anyone else have made me the person, and researcher, I am today.
